Question:
I would like to ask everyone who
makes the best running shoes for
women? I have been running regularly
since 1981, and lately my feet seem
unable to take the pounding as well
as they used to. In fact, I just
broke a toe two nights ago, and
I am wondering if I need a stronger
and better supporting shoe?
Answer:
I have always had the best luck
with ascics, but you really need
to find what works best for you.
New Balance is good too, since they
offer different widths. Also, I
don't know what you wear now, but
it is worth the extra money to get
a quality shoe that has good cushioning/support,
or whatever you find you need most.
Every foot
and every individuals form and biomechanics
are just that individual a shoe
that works great for one person
can be the cause of an injury in
another individual. You can't even
ask a question like what's the most
durable shoe since again individual
running forms will have an impact
on how long a shoe last. About the
only kinds of questions you can
ask and have a chance of getting
a correct answer are ones like what
is the lighest/heavest, narrowest/widest
in the heel/forefoot.
